In the clear

So, we are only posting about this now because we are all cleared at the new apartment.  No bed bugs.

WE NEVER HAD THEM...just keep reading and you'll understand.

So last week this piece of paper was slipped under our door at the new apartment and it was posted by the elevator/mailboxes.

I thought it was hilarious that someone wrote "who is patient zero???" on the posting

Basically, a "few" apartments were known to have bed bugs and on Saturday the 2nd an exterminator was coming to check all units to make sure the issue hadn't spread.  All tenants had to be present to let the exterminator in their unit for inspection. 

This news put a damper on our moving-in excitement.  We didn't want to bring any carpets or the mattress over until we were all cleared.

Anyways, on Saturday this lil adorable mini beagle came and sniffed around.  She was the cutest thing ever and so tiny and focused on her job. I snapped a blurry pic just to remember her.  She didn't find anything and we got the all clear.  Phew!  Did you know that bed bugs will not go into the bathroom or the kitchen??  I said, "Cool! let's sleep in the kitchen."

So, all is well and we can soon welcome all visitors of the two-legged variety.  You can rest assured that we won't let the bed bugs bite!
