Check-up: 2 1/2 Years

It's February 30th!!! Well, actually it's March 2nd, but we can pretend. That means it's time for our regular 6 month anniversary check-up.

Every six months we each answer the same set of questions about married life. Here are our responses at 2 1/2 years.

1) What is your favorite memory of the last six months?

Dan: Baby!
Steph: Finding out about baby!

2) What is your favorite part of married life so far?

Dan: Having someone with me during the bad times
Steph: Planning a future

3) Something you weren't expecting about married life.

Dan: There is always something more to learn about the other person
Steph: How normal it feels to do every aspect of life with the same person

4) Something you are pleasantly surprised by about married life.

Dan: It's still really fun to just hang out and play games together
Steph: Working through hard choices brings can bring tremendous relational growth

5) Something you didn't know about your partner before marriage

Dan: That Stephanie does NOT like gambling, at all
Steph: Being a Pastor was much more than just a job for him. It is a huge part of his identity

6) Something to work on

Dan: Adjusting and preparing for the baby
Steph: Continue to pursue passion in all aspects of our relationship

7) Something to look forward to

Dan: Trip to Boston
Steph: Our baby!!!

8) Favorite thing about your partner right now

Dan: Baby bump
Steph: How helpful and encouraging he is to me during this pregnancy

We don't really celebrate the 6 month marks anymore but coincidentally Dan met me at work to take me out to lunch today. His last time before starting work full-time until the baby comes.
