Hedgehog Nativity Set

Last year I mentioned being disappointed that I couldn't find a hedgehog themed nativity set.  You know my obsession with the decorative little creatures.  Well, Terri Mom got me some clay for Christmas last year and this fall I finally pulled it out and got to creating the vision I had in my mind for a unique set.  The process took over a month since we don't have craft stores near us and the whole production was time consuming.

But I enjoyed every minute of it because the sets turned out really close to what I envisioned and they are a 100% original idea and homemade.  I had no "pin" for inspiration only a creative mind and some courage to try it out.

I made two "Classic" sets hand painted and bead dipped.  The manger is like an acorn!

And one "Whimsy" set with bold colors.

One Classic set and the Whimsical set were available for purchase in my sister's Etsy shop Hopscotch and Honey.  Mandy and I were both convinced neither would sell but the Classic set sold last night!!!  The Whimsy set is still available and if you order by Sunday (12/13) it is guaranteed for delivery so you can enjoy it before Christmas.

The other Classic set we are giving away here on the blog!  The set comes in a decorative box with the inverted lid serving as the snowy display scene.   Easy to set-up and ready to place on your mantle or tabletop.  Or ready to go as a gift for a friend.

For storage, Joseph and the acorn manger share a nested box and Mary and baby Jesus share the other.  They are nestled close and safe when not being displayed.

Enter the raffle below using your email address and I'll pick and announce a winner this Thursday.  Now, only like 12 people read this blog so you have some good odds.
