Wildwood Vacation Last Day

Today's Peeks of the Week is replaced by our last vacation recap.  Nothing much happened this week and reliving last week is much more entertaining anyways.

See Day One of our trip here.
See Day Two of our trip here

Our trip to Wildwood was so short.  We only planned on staying two nights at the b&b because it was a bit expensive for more than that.  Had we known all the amenities the price included, I think if return again we would get another night.  Oh well, next year!

We made a reservation for the speed boat/dolphin watch for 9:30 am so we had to pack everything up before breakfast and check-out immediately after eating.  Shelia was so nice and hurried our breakfast order so we could leave on-time.

We had another yummy breakfast of fresh fruit cups, warm blueberry muffins, ham and cheese omelets, bacon/sausage, and potatoes.  Filled us up for our day ahead.

Last year when we went to Cape May we went on a dolphin watch which was pretty cool but the dolphins were really far from the boat and a little hard to see.  We expected the situation to be the same on this boat but we were greatly surprised.  I guess because the boat is small and the seats are closer to the water we were able to dolphins really really close?  I'm not sure of the reason but it was awesome this time.  Super fun experience.

I took photos.

And Dan took video.

Oh my gosh, you guys, there was a little baby dolphin jumping up like crazy and being a total ham.  It was the cutest thing ever.  You can hear me gushing over it in the video clip.  The guy you can hear in the video was Captain Jack, he was the one spotting for dolphins.  He was super fun with all the kids.

Then they sped the boat up to get in front of the pod of dolphins and create some waves for the dolphins to play in.  AND THEY DID!  So cute.  I am so glad Dan got video of it.

The boat went around the beach and then went really really fast (it was a speed boat after all) and got everyone all wet.  Some people were drenched but we only got medium wet and dried off pretty quick because it was so hot outside.  It was such a fun experience I'm glad we did it because even though we had seen dolphins last year, this was way better.

After the boat ride we did some mini-golf in the blazing heat.

Instead of heading home mid-day we decided to go back to Cape May and soak-in more beach time which was just what we needed to round out our vacation.

His message says "I [heart] Squeetie [bird]" which is his newest nickname for me

On the drive home we stopped at a farm stand for peaches, Michael's for craft supplies, and DQ for ice cream.  Because always.stop.for.DQ.

We were both sad our vacation was so short but we had a really nice time and it was fun to reflect on our homey-moon trip to this place last year and everything that happened in between.

Next week I'll share about how we spent the day of our actual one year anniversary.

Happy Labor Day Weekend!!!!!

P.S. This post is a blog milestone!  Our 300th published post.  Woot!
P.P.S This weekend is my six year anniversary moving to Brooklyn.  Can't believe it's been six years.
