Little Blue Push Car

Kip received this Little Tyke push car from Grandma and Grandpa on his first birthday.

He learned how to walk with it.

And loved pushing it around the lobby of our Brooklyn apartment.

But, he never really learned how to "ride" it. To be fair, we never really let him use it outside and he quickly moved on to a scooter and then eventually a trike.

Last summer, we pulled the car out again and Ivy too used it to learn how to walk. She spent a lot more time building confidence in her early walking days and used this car for stability often.

And then She eventually figured out how to ride it.

This spring she really figured out how to maximize the speed and keep up with Kip, using her legs to propel the car down the sidewalk.

She is so fast at it that she has ruined three pairs of shoes burning holes in the toes from sidewalk friction!!

I know she is quickly outgrowing this little car and will soon grow into Kip's old trike and a scooter herself. Its little days are numbered, but it sure did serve us well and brought with it many cute and happy memories.
