Kansas Trip Part III - Cousins

A heat wave hit Kansas while we were visiting. On Saturday it was nearly 100 degrees out (hotter than what we've seen in Jersey all summer)! Grandma made car-shaped waffles for breakfast! What a fun treat!!

In the morning we drove to Kansas City to visit with Dan's brother and his family. We met our baby nephew/cousin Hunter for the first time and went to the park with cousin Olivia too. We ordered KC BBQ for lunch. It was a quick little visit but great to get the cousins together for a bit.

Grandma and her granddaughters!

For the rest of the day we were back at Grandma's house just relaxing and playing with the toys at her house. The Christmas train, Dad's old bins of Legos, and a new slide. I think the kids enjoyed this most of all, just playing with Grandma. Dan built some rocking chairs for the porch and I worked on a friendship bracelet kit Grandma gifted me.

The kids helped Grandma plant some fall produce in pots and we let them stay up a bit later and throw poppers in the driveway.

We headed back home Sunday morning. Hearts full. It was a great trip.

We love you Grandma!
