Easter Recap

We had absolutely gorgeous weather on Easter Sunday. It was quite chilly on Saturday so it was really nice to have a beautiful day.

We started the morning with Easter baskets.

We had a fun breakfast too. I tried to make the bunny cinnamon rolls. They turned out okay I think!

We all got dressed-up, even though we had no plans to go anywhere.

We tried tuning into the virtual church service but there were technical difficulties and toddler interference. Sigh.

So we did the egg hunt outside for Kip. What a joy to do an egg hunt outside!! He loved it.

Loads of candy for Kip. He really doesn't have much of a sweet tooth but he does like Sour Patch Kids and suckers.

Kip and I tried to dye eggs again. This time we wrapped them in vinegar soaked tissue paper and Kip wanted to color on one with a marker. It didn't work very well. The colors were really light and the vinegar burned in any exposed hand nail or paper cut. I didn't even take a photo of what they looked like after. But they looked colorful before!

We enjoyed the sunny weather. Took walks. Played outside and finished the day with a delicious Easter dinner that Mandy made. We've now lived a whole year of holidays in this new pandemic era and despite the difficulties, we've still had a lot of fun and made good memories.

Happy Easter!
