Obviously, the big news around here is baby boy Johnson arriving this August. But we actually have some other big news to share as well which I have totally neglected to mention here.
Mandy, my identical twin sister, is MOVING EAST this summer! Sqeeeeeeee!!! The magnetic force of our hearts is finally being reconnected in just a few short months!!
Mandy made this decision back in January and initially I thought she was joking because she is such a creature of comfort and I never expected her to move to us. But we've talked a lot about it and it feels right, for all of us. She is planning on finding a place in the suburbs of New Jersey so she can keep her suburban lifestyle and car. We can each keep our own independent routines and preferences but she'll just be short drive away as opposed to an expensive flight! We'll get to see each other much more frequently and she will get to bond with the baby.
It will be a huge transition for her since she has lived in the Chicago area for the last 10 years but this was a decision she felt was perfect timing. She's been wanting to make a change and what better reason than to be closer to the new baby!! I'm so proud of her for making this decision and so excited to have her close-by soon. She and Dan get along swell as well.
Prayers for her finding a nice apartment, good job, and easy transition are much appreciated.
YAY! This makes me so happy! One of my best friends lives in the suburbs of NJ. It'll be so nice for you and Mandy to be just miles apart rather than hours!

DeleteUnion Beach near Red Bank. It's a nice little area close to the train (in Hazlet) that we take into the city when we visit.
