Apartment Tour: Bedroom

Almost finished with this apartment tour. Today, is our bedroom.

This room is much smaller than our old bedroom at the other apartment. We used to have about 7 feet between the foot of the bed and the dressers. Now we have about a two feet. That's a lot to lose but everything still fits so who needs floor space?

We put our filing cabinet in between the dressers. Not ideal but it sort of fits perfectly and matched with everything so I like it.

One downside about this apartment in general is we are in a near complete antenna dead zone. We get approximately one and a half television stations which come in clearly about half of the time. First world problems.

I'm on the hunt for a ceramic pitcher vase in white or gray for that bunch of eucalyptus on the window sill. Anyone seen one?

We still have two closets although they are much smaller. But again, everything fits. And we are making use of the under-bed space by storing seasonal items and extra blankets in shallow bins.

My closet is on the right, Dan's is the odd tall and narrow one in the center and the door on the left goes into the hall.

Dan hung these wall shelves which I really love.

And I was really proud after hanging these frames as they are perfectly spaced after the first try. That never happens for me.

How can anyone sleep without blackout curtains? Truly, if you have trouble sleeping try blackout curtains. Best idea. Note the cute valances. Those are the ones that Terri Mom helped me make this summer when we were in Kansas. They turned out just how I wanted.

Our curtains are shut most all the time because, Brooklyn. But, we do have leafy views in summer.

And all the buddies sleep in this little tote. Yes, we are adults.

They rotate the privilege of getting to snuggle in bed with us. This week Philbin got to be on the bed because it's his birthday! Dan gave me Philby Bear three years ago, yesterday, when he proposed to me.

Awe what a sweet little Philby bear. He is looking rather old and scraggly now. Me too, man. Old and scraggly.
