Special Treat Date

Several weeks ago I splurged and bought Dan tickets for us to see an NBA game at the Barclay's Center.  We've done this twice before but this year I got tickets for us to see the New York Knicks vs. the Brooklyn Nets.  Last year I tried to get Knicks tickets and they were too expensive but this year they were reasonable and a Friday evening date was a perfect time.  Dan was really excited

We met-up after work and grabbed quick bite at Subway and then headed across the street to the game.

Our seats were literally in the last row in the corner but we still had an overall good view.  Dan was rooting for the Knicks and I decided to go for the Nets because I found the Knicks fans to be excessively obnoxious.  They were booing and heckling and fighting - it was crazy especially since any other game we've been to the visiting fans are never that rude.  Also, the Knicks were playing pretty poorly and the game was overall not very exciting.  There were a ton of fouls so it seemed like all the points were scored on foul shots.  Ultimately the Nets won.

Also there was no halftime show.  The first time we went to a Nets game I was so impressed with that the extra entertainment besides the game.  The cheerleader/dance team performed several times, there was kids dance crew, and they did t-shirt giveaways during commercial breaks.  This game had maybe 3-4 dances and only one t-shirt giveaway. There was absolutely nothing happening during halftime and that really disappointed me.  Oh well we still had fun.
