It was a busy weekend over here.
On Saturday, we had a small birthday party for Kip. I'll share more in an upcoming post about that, but it was super cute and fun.
On Sunday, it was Mandy and my birthday! We had our "treat yourself" shopping day last weekend which is our annual gift to each other. We just spend the day together going to all our favorite stores and getting treats. On our actual birthday, we both got to sleep in and woke up to a breakfast made by Dan and a table full of gifts that he put together with the kids. Look at his fancy little balloon garland!
We got a yummy Edible Arrangement delivered from Terri Mom and phone calls from Jess and Poppa.
In the afternoon we took the kids to a local train expo. We weren't sure what to expect but it was a bunch of old hobbyists selling old trains and collectables. Kip and Ivy both liked looking around and watching some of the layouts that they had set-up. Overall, a fun day.
For dinner, Dan grilled cheeseburgers, we ate "outside," and then had a fantastic birthday cake from the Milk Bar.
And now, we await the most anticipated date of the year - Kip's 5th Birthday!
