Kip started two-days at the local YMCA camp this week. He both loves it and hates it which is typical. It's just something to occupy his time a bit each week for the rest of summer. Ivy is elated whenever he returns.
On Tuesday, we took the kids to get their first Covid shots. Look, I know people have opinions. You're entitled. And my opinion, as their mother, was to get them vaccinated. I hope to never, ever see someone I know or love on a ventilator ever again - whether due to Covid or anything else. They were brave and we had Rita's to celebrate.
Mandy took Kip for a haircut, he said he hair was "too long and disgusting."
Thursday night I had the idea for us to take a picnic dinner to the pool for an evening swim. It was so much fun and such a novelty for the kids. We'll have to do it again before the end of summer.
Tomorrow is Kip's first ever friend birthday party. We are keeping it small and casual but there is still excessive anticipation from the almost five-year-old!! Happy Friday!
