Peeks from the Week - Fall Break

Kip has been on fall break all week (I know it's late) and I took a few days off of work so we could do some fun stuff while he is home from school. We hit-up a lot of local places and enjoyed the slow mornings and mellow afternoons. Here's what we did!

On Sunday afternoon we met-up with some friends at Rock-N-Air which is one of those indoor trampoline parks. This was our first time here and Kip was absolutely LOVING everything about this place. Ivy had a blast too and marched right into the climbing structure all on her own and even made friends with some sweet older kids who helped her navigate the jungle gym.

It was super clean and well maintained and loads of stuff for the kids to do. They had a blast. Their first slurpees!

On Monday, Mandy and I did what we do best and took the kids to Target. Kip got a haircut and we ate lunch at a restaurant and even got Starbucks treats in the afternoon. Retail therapy is bliss.

On Tuesday, Dan and I took the kids bowling in the morning. We were the only family in the whole place. Everyone else was part of some ladies retirement league which was pretty funny. Dan and I threw the game so Kip could win just this once. And Ivy threw a massive fit because I wouldn't let her play the claw machine game. We are in a particularly three-nager phase over here. All was made right with a small toy from the quarter machine instead.

We had Chick-fil-a for lunch. And went for a bike ride in the afternoon.

Wednesday, Mandy and I were trying not to spend a ton of money so we did the playground and then let the kids pick a candy from Rite Aid and made popcorn to watch the new Paw Patrol movie now streaming. Later, we ended up at Five Below and Walmart and stopped at Panera (apparently, we can't NOT spend money). Mandy and the kids made pumpkin pie in the afternoon (more on that later).

Thursday, I was back at work but fortunately was working from home so it eased the transition a bit. Dan took the kids to the playground and library. They had swimming lessons in the afternoon and then once I was done with work we took them the Chuck-e-Cheese for the PTO school fundraiser. This was Ivy's first time there and she loved it.

We had pizza there for dinner (it is actually quite tasty) and then home to bed. The kids aren't looking in the photo below because they were captivated by the animatronics on stage.

I'm back in the office now but we have a fun thing planned for the weekend ahead.
