Kip participated in a little art camp hosted by his school a few mornings last week. It was just a short hour and a half class but it was organized by one of those canvas painting studios and we have been shocked by how awesome this little camp has been.
Vincent Van Gogh's Starry Starry Night
This was inspired by Japanese artist, Yayoi Kusama
Day three was some kind of freestyle work with air dry clay. Kip said they didn't talk about a specific artist but this feels very Surrealist to me...maybe a bit Salvador Dali? It's also a magnet.
The last day they made these beautiful cherry blossom inspired wall hangings.
Considering Kip brought home only two art works from his entire year of Kindergarten art class, these camp projects were outstanding!
This week he is participating in a little sports camp and is absolutely annoyed about it. Hopefully he will realize it is fun and not like gym class (which he hated).
