Our second day of the trip we headed back to the beach on the bay first thing in the morning. It was equally as beautiful and fun. More sand castles and shell/rock collecting.
Dan watched the kids on the beach for a bit in order for my sisters, dad, and I to take a quiet moment and spread some of mom's ashes. He snapped some pictures as well.
Overall it was a great morning. And look at that, cute family photos - totally unplanned!
After cleaning off the sand, having lunch, and a little rest...
We headed to the local zoo which was super cute and really impressive, given the location.
Kip insisted on spending $3 on this hurricane simulator.
There was also a train layout which you all know we love.
And a carousel too!
Can't leave without souvenirs and a stop at the playground.
That night for dinner Kip ordered the fish special and despite what his face looks like in this photo, he loved it.
The next morning we packed-up the house. Kip was devastated. He really loved the company and the dog and the beach and just being on vacation. Ivy was pretty much done with the trip at this point. Home girl is a home girl. Ha! I was bummed to leave to, I think we needed just one more day to play and explore.
But before we left town we had breakfast at Dan and my favorite restaurant in Cape May. Dog friendly!
We got home around lunch time and still had the afternoon to hang out before family left the next morning.
Kip loved doing this treat puzzle for Lucy every night. It was a lot of fun.
I managed a few family photos with the kids in-between Kip's mood. He always hates when company leaves.
And I got a pic with Lucy. She was a pal to me on the trip. So sweet.
Love that you made memories ❤️
