Kip started swim lessons one year ago. After a bit of a rough start, he found his confidence and he has stuck with lessons for a full year. We knew Kip would do better with gaining skills if he did not take a break during the school year but kept consistent exposure. He has made slow and steady progress and is now in Level 3!
Now that Ivy is about to turn three years old, we decided to get her started as soon as possible. She was nervous at first but then excited about her swim suit and swim backpack and flowered shoes.
Ivy was pretty subdued with nerves when we got to the Y. She is SO itty bitty but was such a brave girl and sat on the edge of
the pool kicking her little feet in the water. She got splashed in the
face unexpectedly at the beginning and that rocked her confidence
immediately. She broke down in tears and begged to go home. I wiped her
face, helped her get her goggles on and stayed by her. She was scared
but stuck with it and did everything her teacher asked her to including
kicks and ice cream scoops. We were SO proud of her.
Her second lesson was a bit easier and she was SO proud of herself and didn't want to get out of the pool at the end.
Three cheers and a big splash for Ivy!
That’s so awesome! Way to go, brave Ivy! ❤️
