Weekending it

This weekend, squeezed between chores, soccer game, and church we took the kids to the local Touch-a-Truck event. This was one of the first suburban events we felt comfortable taking the kids to early "post" pandemic in the fall of 2021. Now that Ivy is older and able to really participate in this activity, both kids really had a blast. They really enjoyed climbing in the vehicles and pushing all the buttons.

Ivy particularly loved the tractor so we will have to get her up on Uncle Willy's tractor for a real ride the next time we are in Kansas.

They had a table with our favorite Rita's Italian Ice, so we stopped for a refreshment for the kids and then grabbed hot dogs from the baseball concessions.

At the end we let the kids do the small petting zoo to feed the overfed goats. It was a bit silly as all these poor animals were DONE with chopped carrots. But, we saw the cow step in his pile of poop, so that was exciting.

 Fun memories.
