Weekending it

We had beautiful weather this weekend, the kind of fall day that still feels like summer. My favorite way to fall. While we packed in a lot of chores, we also hit-up the playgrounds and made time for ice cream.

This ice cream shop was called Scoop to My Lou. Isn't that the cutest name? Our town really needs a good ice cream shop, this one was about 20 minutes away. Someone give me a million dollars and I'll open an ice cream shop in South Amboy. There is real estate available and a large consumer base. My three years as an ice cream scooper in college could really pay off in this small town. Who's gonna be my first investor?

And on another random note, here are some funny differences between the kids that were highlighted this weekend.

Kip is a sensory seeker. He loves to swing high and fast. He loves to run and climb. He likes riding his bike and scooter as fast as he can and he NEEDS to be in the lead.

Ivy is sensory avoidant. She only wants "little bit" swing which means being pushed very, very lightly and NOT high. She cannot/will not run. She likes to ride bikes that are low to the ground and prefers to be pulled on her scooter. She does not want to lead.

The other difference, Ivy does not like dairy-based ice cream. She prefers popsicles, Italian ice, and sorbets. Kip could down a pint of vanilla ice cream every day.
