Happy Tuesday! Quick catch-up, last week Kip's school went to remote learning last minute. Cases were something like 40% positive in our area so they went virtual. But, there isn't virtual instruction for Pre-K so Kip just had another week of winter break. This was sort of nice since his winter break was only one week and that felt pretty puny. We always got two weeks when I was a kid. Anyways, my office has been hybrid (mandatory two days in office) since August. They gave everyone the option to work fully remote From December 27 until January 17 because cases are exploding in NYC. All of this feels very similar to March 2020 except we have some experience with this pandemic and it isn't quite as scary. And they aren't fully shutting anything down. Dan still has to go into the office his typical days with no formal remote option. Crazy times, who knew we'd still be saying that nearly two years into this?
We had our first snow storm of the year on Friday. With Kip out of school and the roads barely plowed, both Dan and I worked from home. Mandy took the kids out basically, first thing. Kip had been talking about throwing snowballs for weeks, so he was very excited. Ivy had fun too.
In the afternoon, Kip's little neighborhood friend who we met at the pool this summer came over to play. They all stayed outside for nearly two hours! Ivy came inside much sooner, she is the queen of cozy.
On Saturday, I took Kip to the park just the two of us to play in the snow there.
