Sweet Scenes

I had a draft of this sitting around that I forgot to share. Just a random photo dump from months ago.

And in these photos you may notice that in our house, a limit does not exist for the number of stuffed animals one can acquire...

This kids spent a morning making collars for their friends with their names on them.

Love these little creatures Kip made.

Dinner and a movie. Front row seating for the stuffy friends

This little craft guy was made by Dad under the direction of her majesty Ivy. It was too cute not to share.

And the little trains came out for a day or two! Still a treasured toy.

And finally, are they not the cutest?

Kip Looses His First Tooth

Kip lost his first tooth on Sunday! It had been wiggly for about two weeks and getting so loose it was hard for him to eat. So I yanked it out. He was nervous about it but didn't even realize I had pulled it until he felt the hole in his mouth. Exciting times.

He is one of the last of his friends to lose a tooth. Several already have the adult front teeth fully grown-in. I'm loving the little space and I'm excited for the next couple of years of the adorable gappy grin.

If you ask me, it is the most perfect little square tooth. Tiniest thing that doesn't look like it could cut through much let alone serve a purpose for five and a half years.

He put the tooth in the little pillow and left it by a small puppet castle guarded by knight and dragon. The tooth fairy left this in the morning.

We decided the tooth fairy would give him a starting bonus for the first tooth. She delivered $10 and a little keepsake to remember his first tooth. Every subsequent tooth will just get $1.

Now, let's pay our respects to those hard earned first chomps. Five-month old Kippy suffered many painful drooly days cutting those pearly white.

Oh my goodness!! Can you even!! He was absolutely the cutest little babe.

Bagel teether! Lol.

Weekending it

This past weekend Dan and I took the kids to Liberty Science Center. It was an absolute madhouse. SO CROWDED. There was a new Science of Pixar exhibit so seemingly everyone was there. Including Buzz Lightyear! Sorry, the photo is dark...it was in a dim-lit exhibition space.

There were several fun interactive activities like building a contraption to protect an egg in a drop. Kip and I worked together and Ivy and Dan did one too. Our prediction was Kip's egg would survive in tact and Ivy's would not. We were wrong! Ivy's survived and Kip's got scrambled. Lol!

We squeezed our way around several of the exhibition spaces. The kids loved all of it even though we weren't able to see or do everything.

We paid extra for the Pixar exhibit which was marketed towards Kip's age group but was really more appropriate for middle and high school. Very interesting to see how the Pixar movies are made but it was WAY over the heads of anyone under the age of 12.

We got a quick snack, ran into a friend from school, and then played with large foam blocks before leaving. And can you believe it, we got out of that place WITHOUT stepping foot in the gift shop.

This week Kip has two half days and the weather is going to peak into the 50s! Spring is coming are you excited??
