They got in on Friday night and Kip was excited to see them the next morning when he woke up and was especially excited by the toy train and books that Grandma brought from Aunt Judy and Aunt Kandi. Basically, that train replaced his school bus and he took it everywhere with him all weekend.
We mostly played around the apartment but on Saturday afternoon we went to the Staten Island Zoo.
On Sunday we played with our cars and trains and in the afternoon we went to the park.
And on Monday it was more cars and trains and then we took them to a different park in the afternoon.
I mentioned last week that Kip isn't into taking photos so everything is candid and on the sly. It's okay, that's the phase we are in but I do wish we could have gotten more posed photos of them all together.
Kip's speech is starting to pick-up again we really noticed it this weekend. He is saying some colors and pointing out different things he sees and recognizes. We finally got him to say Grandma (sounds like Ama) and Grandpa (sounds like Appa). It was a great visit and we are looking forward to seeing them again next month for Thanksgiving!!
