Weekending on Cape May

Sorry for my delay in posting. I ran out of time yesterday.

Recapping our Labor Day weekend today.

Dan and I had an amazing few days on Cape May in New Jersey. It was our first overnight trip without Kip and we are eternally grateful to Mandy for hanging with Kippy while we were away. They had a great time together while we were away and went to the pier by the Brooklyn Bridge and played in the sand and mega splash pad area. Thank you Mandy!!!

Meanwhile, Dan and I hung out on the blissful beach for two days. We've gotten a lot better with just chilling instead of feeling like we need to see and do everything so this trip was really relaxing. Since this is a repeat visit for us, we spent most of our time reading on the beach and it was amazing.

We also did a sunset dolphin watch boat ride but we didn't end up seeing much more than one fin of one dolphin so they gave us vouchers for another ride and the tickets don't expire so we will try again next visit. BUT, we loved being on the boat during sunset, nonetheless.

We also played mini-golf twice, walked around town, did some shopping, and ate some delicious food.

Shaved ice you guys!!!!!

We were really sad to leave since it was just pure summer there and it is definitely my happy place but fortunately we had Kippy and Mandy to come back to and promises to return next summer if possible.

There were so many families at the beach and SO many teeny tiny babies, like less than three months old. I was in utter shock and awe that moms would do that. We were in newborn comas for three months and I just admired that some people don't let anything get in the way of a beach trip. I don't think I could bring a newborn to the beach, but it did make us think about how we could be more adventurous with Kip, perhaps next summer!
