Weekending it

I hope everyone had a nice Father's Day weekend.

We had a relaxing Saturday playing at home and in the afternoon Mandy came over and we all got ice cream and a trip to the park.

That night Mandy stayed home with Kip so Dan and I could go on a date. We went to see Dark Phoenix in the theater. I'm an X-Men fan so we re-watched all the previous movies over the last couple of months. We enjoyed it. It didn't get great reviews and the theater was practically empty but we liked it and I liked a night out.

On Sunday the weather looked iffy but we risked it and headed to Coney Island for a special Father's Day.

We walked along the boardwalk. We let Kip explore in the sand a bit and then we took him to the amusement park.

Kip was big enough for one of the rides and LOVED it. He was so ecstatic to be on that little firetruck. We let him ride it twice (it was $5 per ride) but of course he still had a tantrum when we left the area.

He was even raising his hands-up in the air like a roller coaster. No clue if he saw that or if he was just feeling it!

We got our Nathan's Famous hot dogs for lunch and then walked the boardwalk and pier and a ride on the carousel with Mandy.

Kip was overtired and mad when we left but fell asleep as soon as we got him in the car. Overall, it was a really great day and another check off of our Summer Bucket List.

  1. So fun to be near iconic places! That firetruck ride looks so cute and Kip looks like he had a blast!
