This weekend was wonderful. On Saturday I needed to go into the city to give tour of the museum to some family friends. Mandy suggested Dan bring Kip and we do something fun together once I was done. It was a great idea and we had a really good family day-venture.
After I finished the tour I met up with Dan and we walked along the Battery Park esplanade while Kippy napped.
Then we took him on the Seaglass Carousel. He has been on this before when Mandy and I took him except this time he was terrified of it. He did not like riding on it, he just wanted to walk around and touch them and go where he wanted and do what he wanted. But, he didn't throw a tantrum so that was a win!
We walked over the to park after that and let him play around a bit before getting lunch and heading home.
Sunday was a marathon day. Our church was having a birthday party/dance party and I was on brunch team and helped out with the decorations.
It was a lot of fun but really sweaty.
We got to church at 9 am and didn't get home until 4 pm. Fortunately, Kip took naps in the car before and after but it was still a long day. Dan chased Kip most of the time and we did all our grocery shopping errands afterwards I discovered the key to surviving Sunday is to never stop. Just keep going. We really should try to spread our chores throughout the week but everything always ends-up on Sunday.
