Weekending it

Well now that the week is nearly over...recapping our weekend!

This weekend we drove over to New Jersey to drop off some stuff at the storage unit we are renting (cheaper in NJ). Dan took all the A/C units out of the windows (summer is for sure over) and we loaded up all the pumping paraphernalia into a tub and hauled that over the border. We met-up at Mandy's apartment for lunch and then headed to the mall to see Santa!

Last year we happened upon the apparently unknown fact that Santa is at the mall starting the weekend after Halloween and there is ZERO line. None. You basically just walk right up to the jolly old guy. To me, this is ideal for many reasons. No wait time, less opportunity for meltdown, less exposure to germs, MORE time WITH Santa, more photos to choose from, plenty of time to order cards or add that photo to your 2019 calendar for Christmas gifts, getting that task done early, etc. So yeah, I will never not take Kip to see Santa in the beginning of November.

Anyways, we expected Kip to cry. He is really clingy right now. But he surprised us. Dan put him on Santa's lap and he was so sweet with him. Kip was a little curious but otherwise just sat there. Because there was no line the photographer took a TON of photos so we had lots to choose from. We weren't rushed to pick and it was great. I won't reveal the true Santa photo until December but here is a little flashback for you heartstrings.

He was SO tiny last year! 2018 Kip could eat 2017 Kip.

After Santa we shopped and then came back to Mandy's place to play for a bit before coming home.

On Sunday we went to church and got a special visit with cousin Kourtney!

Grocery shopping, chores, and all the prep for the week ahead rounded out our weekend. Can you believe Thanksgiving is a week away???? Crazy.

  1. That flashback photo of baby Kip! Oh my gracious!!! I'm so glad the November Santa visit worked out again this year! And yes-- completely unbelievable that Thanksgiving is a week away!
