Will we survive daylight savings time????!!! It's debatable.
Kip is teething really badly and I think in some sort of related sleep regression. And now daylight savings. He has been waking up multiple times a night for the last week. And we just have to let him cry it out. Even when I pick him up and rock him or even play a quiet song to turn the night light on. He screams as soon as we leave the room. Ooohhh parenthood, just when you get in a groove. Wham.
On Saturday we hung out all day and then headed to a friend's birthday party at the Staten Island Zoo. This was Kip's second time there but first time since he's had full ability to walk independently. He got to pet a lizard and a chinchilla and did surprisingly well considering the party was mostly older kids.
He LOVED the carousel. Of course.
He had pizza and a cupcake and then we wandered around the zoo a little before heading home. The leaves were so pretty this weekend.
It was marathon Sunday this weekend but we missed everything since we had to be at church before the runners came past our apartment. Bummer. It's a really cool thing to witness. Oh well, next year. Dan did set-up at church and Kip and I met a friend for coffee and breakfast. I chased him around the rest of the morning and he made it all the way until 1 pm (which was 2 pm to him) before his afternoon nap. Oh boy. Sundays are hard on his routine.
After church and grocery shopping, met a friend at the park in the late afternoon. So sad our park weather (and now late sunlight) are gone. (yes, those are sock mittens)
I love the sock mittens! Sundays are certainly routine-busters around here too. You're such a brave mom taking him to birthday parties, etc. (this is GOOD)! I love reading about your parenting adventures!
