Farewell 2018

Poor Kippy is ending the year with a double ear infection (boo!) but overall, 2018 was beautiful. Full of growth and change and making memories as a family!

Happy New Year everyone!!!

Christmas Recap

We had a fantastic visit with Dan's family in Kansas for Christmas this year. We stayed a little longer than usual due to how the flights worked out and it was really nice to have extra time to hang out, visit with everyone longer, and watch Kippy play with his toys. He was spoiled beyond belief!

Grandpa and Grandma's house was decorated so festively and Kippy really enjoyed playing with Baby (Grandma and Grandpa's dog) and Ember (Aunt Lauren and Uncle Sam's Dog). He also enjoyed lots of pounding time on the piano! And Mommy and Daddy got lots of exercise chasing Kip around the house.

Kippy got a Radio Flyer trike and a basketball hoop and lots of other fun toys which will be enjoyed for years ahead!!!

We went to Elsmore and played with all the cousins (Dan's cousin's kids) and got spoiled with attention from all the aunts and uncles.

Kippy got a play vacuum, a tickle me Elmo, a light-up dinosaur toy, a play remote, and an electric train!

More piano time, playing with Baby, and trying Daddy's favorite pull-apart rolls.

Lots of wonderful memory making with family.

We went shopping, we watched Christmas movies, ate amazing food, got BBQ, played at the park, pet all the doggies, had sleepless nights, early mornings, and overall just a lot of fun!!

And now, we're beat!

Weekending it

This past weekend we celebrated Christmas a little early with Aunt Mandy. We watched Christmas movies and hauled all the Christmas presents out and set them up under the tree so the next morning Kip could come out and see it all. Stockings and everything.

And we did family jams. I think this is funny. Whenever people post pictures of their family Christmas pjs they all look clean and fresh. Hair bows and make-up. Washed faces. This is us. Truly, straight out of bed...you know, when people are normally wearing pajamas.

Kippy isn't old enough to really understand any bit of Christmas but he was sure happy to see the presents. We spent the morning opening gifts from my family since we will be celebrating Christmas with Dan's family in Kansas this year. Kippy got a variety of car themed toys since that is his main interest right now. Auntie Jessy got him a Little People parking garage and Dan and I got him a Green Toy car transporter. We also got him a boogie board LED drawing pad (for the plane) and Mandy got him a pop-up car tent, a similar castle tent, a mini basketball (that promptly got hidden due to complaints from the neighbors, sigh), and a bunch of new fun bath toys. Plus his little rocking chair and baby doll he opened on Thanksgiving from my parents.

In the afternoon we went out for a fancy Italian lunch at Gino's

And then strolled through Dyker Heights in the early evening to see the Christmas lights. Tradition!

Sunday was our Christmas service and potluck at church and I truly took zero photos except this.

We had a great weekend with Mandy and are gearing up for our flight tomorrow with Kip.
