Valentine's Recap

We hope you all had a lovely extra along weekend. I don't have much to share as we are in the winter doldrums just trying to make it to spring. Weather this year has been so perpetually frigid. We are paying the price for that lovely warm fall. But, every day the sun stays out just a little bit longer and that's giving us life.

We didn't do much of anything this weekend but I thought I'd share some peeks of our Valentine's Day.

The kids and I assembled their Valentine's for their classmates on Super Bowl Sunday (hence the Chief's gear). It was a lot of work.

On the eve of Valentine's, Mandy and I set out some little goodies for the kids for the morning.

Some candy for Dan and he got Mandy and I loads of chocolate.

Ivy had been asking for a play tent (she had one in her room when she was much younger but she moved on from it). I got hit with nostalgia when I saw these little ones, especially the knight castle for Kip. The days are numbered for interest in pretend play like this so I'm really leaning into it right now to keep my babies little for a little longer.

They were both thrilled with their tents and treasures.

The kids were festive and excited for school.

And as an extra surprise, Ivy won Hero of the Week which was really special for our girl. She tries her very best every day and that's always nice to be recognized. Her teacher sent us the video of her hearing her name on the morning announcements. So sweet.

The kid's classes exchanged Valentine's which is always a fun memory. Kip's class made little mailbox envelopes and Ivy's decorated bags.

They really raked-in a haul of candy and goodies on-par with Halloween!

Gotta love the other love crafts coming home too!

You know, it's the minor holidays that really get us through this month.
