Friday night was the PTO Father-Daughter dance. Ivy and Dan's first time to attend!!! The theme was Disco and Ivy was beyond excited to get to go on a special date with Dad.
Mandy grabbed some "rainbow" flowers at the store for Dan to give to her when he got home from work and Ivy was captivated.
And Ivy gave Dad pictures she drew of them together.
They got ready.
Humored me for some photos.
And then headed out the door.
As they were driving away I realized I'd written the time down wrong and it wasn't for another hour. So they turned around and stalled at the house for awhile.
From what Dan could tell, Ivy was one of two Pre-k girls in attendance at the entire dance. Fortunately, the other Pre-k girl was a friend from Ivy's class so it was nice for her to have someone her age.
But, that probably didn't matter too much because Dan said Ivy hit the dance floor with confidence and ran around the entire night. Sometimes with Dan. Sometimes with a friend. Mostly all on her own.
They had a great night.
They stayed for the entire event and got back at 9:00 PM!!!!!!!!!!!! Ivy was exhausted but happy.
Mandy and I had taken Kip out for burgers and shopping while Dan and Ivy were on their date. We let Kip stay up until they got back so we could hear all about it.
