We are back and hobbling into December. We had a wonderful trip spent with Kansas family and lots of play and bonding time with Grandma.
Don't you love these paper hats that Aunt Judy made us? Kip wore his for days!
Kip came down with a fever the day before Thanksgiving but rallied pretty hard. We took him to the health clinic on Friday and he got antibiotics for an ear infection but wasn't bothered enough to miss out on the tractor ride at Uncle Willy's house and other fun at Aunt Judy and Aunt Kandi's place.
Ivy had a bit of a hard time on this trip. She didn't love Grandma's dog, Baby, even though Baby is the sweetest pup. She also didn't like the crowd of people in the house on Thanksgiving. She did much better with a smaller group and warmed up well to Grandma and Aunt Judy. I remember being painfully shy like her so I tried to give her comfort but I could also see how much it limited her.
Despite Kip being sick and the lingering cough I still have, we had a great time and memory-filled holiday. Unfortunately, to finish the trip, Kip got air sick twice on the flight back home. This has been a nightmare of mine for a long time even though this is the first time it has happened to us. We lost an outfit but I'm proud of how I handled the situation, cleaned it all up, and was prepped and ready the second time to "catch" it all. To be fair, it was a very turbulent flight and we were all grateful to be back in NJ Saturday night.
Big hugs and thanks for Grandma for hosting us and treating us so well. The kids were spoiled and really relished all your attention. We love you.
Love you back! Terri mom
