Weekending it

This weekend we felt like kids again...not that we don't typically but we were really kids this weekend.

On Saturday we took a bunch of pre-teens and teens from the church youth group to Funplex/Splashplex in New Jersey. It was a bit of a drive but worth the trip. Funplex is like a miniature amusement park plus indoor arcade with an attached water park. It's not as expensive or as intense as a Six Flags but it was just the right amount of fun. Dan, our other fabulous youth leader, Lindsey, and I led the trip and we even though we are adults, we all participated in nearly everything the place had to offer.

Go karts, water slides, bumper cars, bumper boats, laser tag, roller-coaster, lazy river, you name it. I think the only things our group didn't do was the bowling and the mini golf, otherwise we hit it all.

My favorite was the foam ball area with all kinds of vacuum and air powered launchers that threw foam balls everywhere. We spent like 15 minutes in that thing and I was laughing so hard I was practically crying. Super fun.

I also loved the lazy river, because obviously.

We left Brooklyn around 8:30 am and returned by 7:00 pm after a full day and then a torrential downpour on the drive home. We were beat but grateful for a successful event.

Other events of the weekend...Dan enjoying the new couch.

And Mandy comes in t-minus 55 hours. Ugh that sounds so long...let's just say 2 days. Woohooo!
