I Love Toy Trains

Okay, no real answers about today. Breathe IN and breathe OUT. We all can at least control that.

For a distraction I'm going to do a photo dump. By now you are aware that Kip is train obsessed. OBSESSED. He has always loved anything with wheels but this last year he really took to the wooden train set he has (he calls them "tiny trains") and a handful die-cast steam and diesel engines.

At the new house he has a lot more room to expand his tracks and they have subsequently taken over our lives...along with the soundtrack to these train shows he watches on Amazon Prime. If you have a train lover, look up the "I Love Toy Trains" series and "Lots, and Lots of Really Big Trains." Or, ask Alexa or Google for James Coffey train songs.

I wanted to have a place to see all these train photos in one place. I know these obsessed phases in little kids are fleeting and this one is something I want to always remember.

If you're impressed with his size of tracks and complicated arrangements - that's all Dan. Mandy and I cannot compete especially when it comes to Legos AND trains.

The funny thing about all of this is Kip has TONS of train cars. SO many. And yet, he only likes one particular way of setting them up. Thomas at the front followed by Rebecca's Tender. Then the yellow tanker, red hopper, yellow and green passenger cars, the two IKEA cars that look like flat beds, his red-top passenger car that he uses as a caboose and then the R subway train. He plays with some of the other cars but for the most part he goes to his Thomas train arrangement.
