Ivy had her little Pre-K graduation move-up ceremony yesterday. It was the cutest thing in the world!
Ivy had 15 kids in her class and 10 of them were 4/5 year olds moving up to Kindergarten next fall. The remaining 5 kids were all 3 years old and will stay in Pre-k another year. This is the first year the school has integrated 3/4 year olds together with a portion advancing to Kindergarten. There were three classes with around 30 total graduates.
For the ceremony the classes sang three songs for all the parents. Ivy loved learning the little songs and hand motions and had been practicing them around us for weeks. They were the same songs that Kip sang which was sweet.
After the songs each kid got to hold up a drawing they made and say what they
want to be when they grow up.
Ivy's drawing is the absolute cutest!!!! And she surprised us by saying she wants to be an Ice Cream Truck driver! I was expecting her to say she wants to be a unicorn--but she picked a legitimate career!
Finally, each child got called up to get their
graduation certificate from their teacher.
Ivy had the same teacher as Kip and Ms. Oks is without a doubt the most wonderful and loving teacher anyone could ever ask for. She created such an encouraging and fun environment and both Kip and Ivy thrived with her as their teacher. We are forever grateful to her for helping launch them into their school years with so much love and success.
Ivy also loved the co-teacher in her classroom, Ms. Rosa.
And this is Ivy's little bestie friend from her class.
Ivy started off so shy at the beginning of the school year which we totally expected. But she really blossomed socially to eventually become friends with everyone in her classroom and good buddies with many of the girls. She is a little chatterbox now and very excited for Kindergarten. We are all so proud of her. Our little Ivy May babe, sweetest little pixie pie.
After the ceremony we went to Rita's to celebrate with Italian Ice. Ivy's fave.
Jump back in time to see Kip's little Pre-k graduation in 2022 here. Gosh Kip was SUCH a cutie pie too.
