Snip-its from December

Happy New Year everyone!!!

We're back, unpacked, and hopefully recovered from the crazy yet festive month of hosting and traveling. I'm very far behind on the blog here so these next couple of posts will be some catch-up. Thanks for hanging in there...

Here are some fun snip-its from December that I wanted to capture here. December at elementary school is just so dang cute. The teachers do lots of fun festive activities, there is a Holiday Shop for kids to buy gifts for relatives, the staff decorate the hallways...just a lot of fun. The last week before break was Spirit Week and the themes were simple and achievable. Mandy and I had fun dressing the kids.

Candy Cane day (or stripes)

Grinch Day (or wear green)

Ugly Sweater Day (or festive sweater is what I called it since Ivy wouldn't dare wear something considered "ugly.")

Pajama Day

Merry and Bright

Also during the last week there were grade awards for the first trimester. Kip won the leadership award in his class. It was streamed live on Instagram so I only got a screenshot.

On PJ Day Ivy's grade had Polar Express Day. It's such a cute event for the pre-k kids.

On the last day of school were the class holiday parties. I'm one of the room mom in Ivy's class so we got to spend some time together. It was pure chaos and sugar and glue, but fun memories.

That weekend we had our first snow of the season. Just a bit but just enough to add some magic.

In our letter from Santa he told us there would be a "special surprise" and since Santa at Storybook Land told us not to expect snow until January, we assume this early was the surprise. Makes sense, right?

And I'll leave you with some Christmas crafty creations.
