We had an epic snow storm this week! It started snowing Sunday afternoon and snowed on and off all the way through Tuesday! We will be starring at snow mounds for weeks with nearly two feet of total accumulation in our area.
I was really excited for another snow storm this year because of how much fun we had with Kip back in December. This time around we got even more snow but it was almost too much to play in and Kip had a hard time walking in it. But we managed to get out in it a few times. Throw snow balls, dig with our dump truck and excavator, make a snow man, etc.
I picked up a snow stencil set at Michaels over the weekend and we tried that out too. I wouldn't recommend it, I don't think. Maybe for older kids? It was hard for Kip to use the spray bottles and although the colors were cool, it sort of just made the snow look trashy afterwards. This kind of activity would probably be better if you had some kind of sensory bin to play with just a small bit of the snow in a designated area. Coloring the snow was more fun than the stencils anyways.
The snow was fun but it's been a tougher week overall. It's winter. We're weary. Sleep issues continue to plague us and we've had a lot of toddler attitude on top of it. It's February, my least favorite month. Blah. But, let's end on a positive note...look at this little lady practicing standing!
She has made zero attempts to try and crawl but she loves to pretend she is a big girl.
