Mandy came over in the morning and we all headed over the bridge to Staten Island South Beach. It was kind of a silly trip since we knew we wouldn't stay long. It was hot and humid and Kip was still overtired from our trip to Kansas but I just really wanted to sneak in that experience before his first birthday. Plus he had a patriotic themed hand-me-down bathing suit that just barely fit him.
He liked looking at the water and he seemed to like the sand for the most part. He hated the cold water. We played for about 20 minutes and then headed back home. So, yeah, a joke of a trip but I'm glad we made the memories.
That's the CUTEST swim suit! I would've made the same choice you did, even if it was just a 20 minute trip! Yay for making memories!
